Although a sequel to the 2015 edition of the New Horizons series of concerts, the line-up of headlining performing musicians retains only composer and kora player Tunde Jegede, who is the Artistic Director of the Music Society of Nigeria. “Featuring the international singer Diana Baroni, orginally from Argentina, with her haunting and evocative voice, and Nigeria’s foremost opera soprano, Ranti Ihimoyan, this concert is a meeting point between worlds and traditions. The program features Tunde Jegede, a 21st century renaissance man with the celebrated MUSON Ensemble and traditional Sakara musicians.”
Tickets are available in Lagos at the MUSON Centre, Jazz Hole, Terra Kulture. Tickets: 5000 naira ($25); Students, 2000 naira ($10); Children: ($5).
