UK independent music company RMN Classical is calling on upcoming music composers to submit their compositions in order to stand a chance to see their works published in a contemporary music album.

The call is open to all composers around the world. In the photo: South African composer Bongani Ndodana-Breen.

This opportunity is open to composers of any age and nationality who create live and studio electroacoustic and sound art works. RMN Classical aims to discover contemporary composers who create original works using electronics in innovative ways.

Prize

The winners will be featured in an album release produced by RMN Classical released worldwide through RMN Music. The high-quality release will be distributed on streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and Pandora. The composers will retain the copyright of their work and will get a share of the sales of the album.

In addition, RMN Classical will include high-quality design of the cover artwork, licensing and copyright clearance. Additionally, there will be opportunities for synchronisation and licensing (TV and media), and optionally, depending on demand, physical distribution and manufacturing of the album will also be considered. The release and all the winning works will also be added to the Sound and Music Archive of the prestigious British Library ion London, UK.

Interested composers should submit their compositions online here and each applicant can submit more than one work.

The application should include:

The submission deadline is 24 November. An application fee will be divided into a discounted early bird fee (ending on 13 October) and regular fee (ending on 24 November).

Maximum duration: Open

There is no maximum duration. RMN Classical strongly suggest and recommend composers to submit short- and medium-length works.

There are no formal restrictions and anyone regardless of age and country of residency can participate. The minimum legal age of 18 year is required and underage composers should get in touch before applying.

There is no limit to the number of recordings that composers can submit. RMN Music will select one work per composer. In some circumstances, RMN Classical reserves the right to select more than one work, depending on quality of works and talent(s).
