Nigeria: Bayanni releases new single Namipa featuring Qing Madi

The track follows the release of his sophomore EP Love & Hustle, which includes his 2024 hit songs along with two new additions, ‘Princess Treatment’ and ‘Hustler’s Anthem’ featuring Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy.

‘Namipa’ sees Bayanni and Qing Madi blend silky vocals over a seductive kompa-influenced beat, producing an infectious, melody-rich track that is already being tipped as a potential crossover hit. With its smooth harmonies and sensual undertones, the single highlights the duo’s vocal chemistry and flair for genre fusion.

Since his debut under the Mavin Records banner in 2022, Bayanni has become known for his dynamic sound, drawing influences from soul, dancehall, and hip hop. His 2023 viral hit ‘Ta Ta Ta’ earned global attention, eventually landing a remix with American R&B star Jason Derulo and achieving Gold certification in Denmark. The song also won him the UMA Award for Best Viral Breakthrough Song.

In 2024, Bayanni continued his upward trajectory, accumulating over 120 million streams across digital platforms and doubling his following on Spotify. His single ‘Goddess’ achieved major success, peaking at No.2 on Apple Music’s Official Uganda Top 100 playlist, and was ranked among Deezer’s top Afrobeats tracks of 2024. The song also maintained a spot in the top 10 on Nigerian radio for several weeks.

Bayanni capped off the year with ‘For Where’, which became the highest-charting single of his career and the biggest end-of-year release from the Mavin roster in 2024.
