Spotify unveils most streamed songs, artists and albums of 2019

To see what South Africa has been listening to over the past year, Spotify has created the Wrapped Hub for all the top streamed artists, songs and albums of the year. The results, according to Spotify, can be shared on Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook with a personalised Wrapped share card.

Kabza De Small is South Africa’s most streamed local artist of the year while US rapper Post Malone is Spotify’s 2019 most streamed artist globally. US singer Khalid tops the list as the most streamed artist in South Africa.

Other South African artists who appear on the list include DJ Maphorisa, Black Coffee, Nasty C, Prince Kaybee, Spoegwolf, Joyous Celebration, Sjava, Snotkop and AKA.

The hub is divided into different categories such as Most Streamed South African Artists in South Africa, Most Streamed South African Tracks in South Africa, Most Streamed South African Albums in South Africa, Most Streamed South African Male Artists in South Africa, Most Streamed Artists in South Africa, and Most Streamed Female artists in South Africa.
