Artist marketing platform un:hurd music has launched new partnerships and membership tiers to equip indie artists with improved distribution, promotion, and monetisation opportunities.
The new partnerships include Nigerian singer Mr Eazi’s label services company emPawa, streaming platforms like SoundCloud and Audiomack, DIY distributor CD Baby, Israel-based music marketing platform Feature.fm, music funding platform beatBread, fan engagement start-up Laylo, and Amazon Merch on Demand.
The rest are Rotor Videos by LyricFind, masterchannel, RoEx, RepostExchange, Chartmetric, GEMA, MusicHub, Gotobeat, UD Music, Fave, Mogul, loop.fans, Volta VR, Warm, Lounges.tv, elasticStage, Music Industry Mentor, and The Featured Artists Coalition.
Launched three years ago by Alex Brees, un:hurd music claims to have collaborated with more than 100 000 artists.
“Our vision at un:hurd has always been to create a world where all artists can achieve success on their own terms,” Brees said. “We do this by creating an audience development platform which acts as a central nucleus for artists when it comes to their music marketing and promotional decisions.
“By introducing this cohort of market leading partners to our artist community, we’re one step closer to achieving our goal. Artists can now more seamlessly access funding, improve the quality of their tracks, create more engaging content and leverage streaming and social media best practice resources all from our partnership suite. Combining these partnerships with our core tools creates a powerful and streamlined workflow for our artist community from creation, through to funding and promotion.”
Meanwhile, un:hurd music’s new Pro membership offers advanced self-serve tools like a fan hub creation feature and personalised benchmarking. Pro members benefit from discounted promotion, no-fee automated ad booking, and exclusive partner discounts. Additionally, the platform has introduced a Select membership tier that provides bespoke marketing services, with the un:hurd marketing team supporting a curated roster of artists through audience development strategies, including niche-promotion campaigns across press, radio, creators, YouTube, and playlists.
In March, un:hurd music, secured six-figure funding to expand its AI-driven platform, which supported over 70 000 artists and generated 81 million Spotify streams in 2023. The investment backs new tools like a fan hub, AI marketing assistant, and benchmarking, as well as a global web platform. Key investors in the funding round include Mr Eazi, who also helms Zagadat Capital, Kobalt Music founder Willard Ahdritz through Ahdritz & Co., Musiio co-founder Hazel Savage, and Dutch DJ Sam Feld.
