Davido, who like Wizkid has shifted the release date of his forthcoming album, will be on a song with the R&B starlet Tinashe.
A Twitter handle “Tinashe News” tweeted the news early this week. Apparently the unleased song will have a third artist.
News of the collaboration reached fans of Davido when the star posted photos of himself and Tinashe in a studio. The photo was captioned with what is perhaps a line from the song, “Can you make me feel like number 1? Tinashenow.” Along with the photo with Tinashe, Davido posted one with hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd.
Tinashe enjoys a loyal following in Africa, particularly in Zimbabwe, where her father comes from.
Davido has collaborated with a US-based artist before when he recorded the song ‘Fans Mi’ with rapper Meek Mill. The video to the song became controversial when the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation declared that the video endorsed the use of drugs.
On the home front, Davido has recorded the song ‘Bahd, Baddo, Baddest’ with his colleagues Olamide and Falz. He signed a deal with Sony earlier this year.
