Apple Music this week named singer and songwriter Majeeed as its latest Up Next artist for Nigeria.
The programme, which shines a spotlight on exciting new talent around the world monthly, will see Majeeed receive support from Apple Music to popularise his music.
Signed with Dream Empire Music, Majeeed joins the likes of Wavy The Creator, Rema, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi and Tems, all of whom are Up Next alumni.
Majeeed’s music will be featured across Apple Music’s Nigeria’s Up Next playlist, which parades a dynamic class of new and emerging artists selected by Apple Music editors globally.
“Being Up Next on Apple Music is a dream come true and has given me the zeal and opportunity to strive even further because now I know a lot of people are listening and connecting to my story,” Majeeed said. “My music is an expression of my reality and experiences of many topics that are not discussed enough.”
The singer, behind the 2021 breakthrough single ‘Time’, has collaborated with top African acts like Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay and Zuchu.
Khaid was Up Next Nigeria artist for June.
