Submissions are ongoing for the Lugar Futuro 2024 festival in Portugal.
Now in its fourth edition, the initiative aims to promote young dance creators and performers while offering a platform for the premiere of new works by emerging choreographers.
The four-day programme, under the artistic direction of Leonor Keil, includes a range of activities such as shows, films, master classes and conferences. It fosters an exchange of experiences among invited creators, dancers, schools, students, and teachers, creating a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere. The festival engages with both local audiences and a global audience through live streaming.
The forthcoming edition will feature the premiere of a new work by Chen Nadler, the winner of the Audience Prize in 2022. The festival has also confirmed the participation of Escola Superior de Dança (Lisbon), the Balleteatro dance school (Porto) and a foreign school (to be announced).
