Kobby Ankomah Graham is a Ghanaian DJ, lecturer, writer, and cultural practitioner with nearly two decades of involvement in Accra’s creative counterculture. A first-time board member, Graham began his DJing career in the early 2000s as part of London’s AMPLIFIED collective, organizing events for renowned artists such as The Roots, spinning for icons like Erykah Badu, and pioneering the exploration of African street sounds long before the global rise of Afrobeats.

Beyond the decks, Graham has made his mark on dancefloors, festivals, classrooms, and international conferences. In Accra, he has hosted radio shows on Vibe FM, Joy FM, YFM, and Oroko Radio, showcasing his deep knowledge of music and culture. His work has garnered attention from platforms like the BBC, The Culture Trip, and Harmattan Rain. As a writer, he has contributed insightful pieces on culture to outlets such as The Guardian and received the Miles Morland African Writers Scholarship, along with DANIDA funding for his Ph.D. research into Ghana’s alternative music scene.

Graham’s unique blend of artistry, scholarship, and advocacy continues to shape and elevate Ghana’s creative landscape on both local and global stages.
