BIO

Big Ben is a Namibian singer, guitarist, and saxophonist whose music lives at the crossroads of tradition and modernity. With roots deep in Namibian soil and a sound that blends Afro-fusion, soul, and jazz, he’s one of the country’s most magnetic live performers and consistent recording artists.

Known for his powerful storytelling and genre-defying style, Big Ben commands stages with a presence that’s both grounded and electric. Whether he's performing in Windhoek or in cities like Seattle, Edmonton, Berlin, Luanda, or Pretoria, his music connects — across borders, languages, and generations.

His seven studio albums have earned him multiple NAMA nominations and wins, including Best Male Artist of the Year and Best Song with a Message. Tracks like Africa Penduka are both rallying cries and dancefloor staples — socially charged, but never preachy.

With his long-time band, The Last Band, he’s shared stages with legends including Hugh Masekela, Salif Keita, Freshlyground, and Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse. At the Windhoek Jazz Festival, corporate roadshows, or under foreign lights, Big Ben always brings the same thing: soul, skill, and a sound that stays with you.

“Big Ben, who’s not an award-winning singer for nothing, knows how to interact with the audience and the music equally, delivering a true and heartfelt performance.”
— The Namibian

“There is an edge to his music that leaves you wanting more.”
— Afrikhun Pulse
