BIO

Real name, Remilekun Safaru. Born in Ogun State, rapper Reminisce is one of a trio of rappers at the forefront of Nigerian hip-hop employing local languages, the others being Olamide and Phyno. Little was heard from the rapper after his guest spot on singer 9ice's Gongo Aso album (2008).

That changed with his debut album, 'Book of Rap Stories' (2012). The album produced 2 hit songs, 'Kako bii Chicken' and '2mussh', the first regarded as his breakout single, the latter cementing a newfound fame.

In 2013, his sophomore 'Alaga Ibile' was released to widespread acceptance. The album featured prominent artistes from Southwest Nigeria, Olamide, Davido and Wizkid principal among the collaborations. Featuring sung and rapped verses in both Yoruba and English, 'Alaga Ibile' marked Reminisce's entry into the mainstream. Two singles from the album 'Eleniyan' and 'Daddy' became hits.

His third album, 'Baba Hafusa' (2015) features guest verses from rappers Olamide, Phyno and Vector. It is the first hip-hop album from Nigeria to enter the Billboard World Albums Charts.
