Tanzania's Diamond Platnumz will headline the 29th edition of Koroga Festival at Hell's Gate National Park in Naivasha, Kenya, on 14 and 15 February.
The 14 February line-up will feature Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones, Ochungulo Family and Nadia Mukami. The main event will take place a day later and host Diamond Platnumz, H_art The Band and Mike Rua.
The February 2020 edition of Koroga Festival is made possible through a partnership with Naivasha Love Festival, a tourism campaign launched to encourage more tourists to visit the area.
“The main aim of the festival is to attract both local and international tourists to the destination, promote the preservation of culture and sensitise the community on the importance of our natural habitats,” Naivasha Love Festival chairperson Peter Kimani said.
“We also want to allow the attendees for adventure and sports tourism as well as market the floriculture and ecotourism in Naivasha.”
With a career spanning more than a decade, Diamond Platnumz has transitioned from a local bongo flava artist to a globally recognised Afro-pop heavyweight. His latest album A Boy From Tandale was released in 2018 and is proof of his evolution as a composer, collaborator and performer.
Some of his well-known songs include ‘Kanyaga’, ‘African Beauty’, ‘Inama’ and ‘Number One’.
The singer is also scheduled to begin his European tour in April.
