Musicians, cultural experts and filmmakers are invited to submit applications to participate in the 2023 edition of The Music Imbizo conference in Durban, South Africa, from 29 August to 2 September.
The Music Imbizo is an international music business conference and exhibition that includes a film festival. The conference will be hosted at a number of venues in Durban.
The Music Imbizo brings together various music industry stakeholders under one roof to map new and exciting ways for the music industry on the African continent.
It is a platform to exhibit, network and share knowledge while doing business. For performing artists, it provides a stage in front of influential people in the value chain of the music business. It also provides artists opportunities to experiment with their own audience development.
“The conference has grown to attract local and international thought leaders, musicians, brands, partners and sponsors,” the organisers said. “Yet, The Music Imbizo still finds room to accommodate the industry novice with the relevant workshops, meetings, masterclasses and forums to navigate their entry in the music business. In 14 years, the conference has hosted more than 600 speakers from over 50 countries plus hundreds of musicians and exhibitors.”
Interested applicants can apply here and all queries should be emailed to Sphe Mbhele at sphe@themusicimbizo.co.za.
