Cal_Vin (born Mgcini Calvin Nhliziyo on 15 December 1985) was a rapper and producer from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
He died in a hit-and-run accident on 25 October. Calvin joined the music industry in 1996 and began recording in 2003. He drew influences from such artists as Jay z, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Tupac, Michael, Jackson and Cassper Nyovest.
Some of his albums include 'Perfect Balance', 'Dat Luveve Boy', 'Askies', 'Year Of The Vin', 'Santa Vin' and 'The Planet Vin'.
He has produced for local artists like Orthodox, Langelihle, MC Tytoh, POY, Guluva Seven and Botswana's DJ Emasto, Bra Snipes as well as Haem O (Swaziland), Testa Uno (South Africa) and Metamorphic (South Africa).
Cal_Vin has also won a number of awards at the Zim Music Awards and Zim Hip-Hop Awards.
