Call for applications: Talku Talku Q3 grants for Nigerian creatives

Nigeria-based creatives can now apply for the third-quarter release of the 2022 Talku Talku Creative Grant.

Musicians Jugo Aces and ISAH The Prince are among the previous recipients of the Talku Talku Creative Grant.

Talku Talku seeks to empower creative storytellers to leverage digital media technology. This year, the organisation is offering $1 000 per quarter to upcoming and underserved creatives to help enhance their creative journey and unlock their full potential. 

Hip hop artist and entrepreneur MI Abaga is the ambassador of the grant, which is being rolled out in partnership with his record label Incredible Music and the TASCK creative agency,

Musicians ISAH The Prince and Jugo Aces are among the previous recipients of the Talku Talku Creative Grant.

Individuals with creative projects may apply here by 30 December

“At Talku Talku we are deliberate about the muse that inspires creativity and are passionate to create key pillars that propel creativity,” the organisation said. “As a creative company, we are focused on providing solutions that allow creatives and brands to think differently in their market space while delivering compelling results that drive key outcomes.”

Important dates

  • Application deadline: 30 December.
  • Quarter-final: 6 January 2023. The top 10 most compelling and feasible projects will be selected for this stage, where they’ll make their case through social voting.
  • Web voting: 11 to 18 January 2023. Web voting allows the top 10 applicants to make their case and gain public support. Selected applicants are expected to create a one-minute video pitch.
  • Semi-final: 18 January 2023. The top three applicants with the most likes from the social voting will be presented to the grant’s independent panellists for scrutiny and selection of a winner.
  • Winner announcement: 30 January 2023.
