Call for applications: Vrystaat Arts Festival SA

Vrystaat Arts Festival (Vrynge) is calling on artists to apply for the 2019 edition of the event taking place in Bloemfontein, South Africa, from 1 to 7 July.
Interested artists should submit their applications here and only online submissions will be accepted. Artists are encouraged to read the guidelines before sending their applications.
The application deadline is 5 December.
Screening
- All proposals received prior to or on the closing date will be presented to the screening committee. After all the propositions have been evaluated, individual marks are allocated without influence from others.
- The programme content will be determined by the screening committee and presented for approval to the management committee of the Vrystaat Arts Festival.
- The management committee reserves the right to fund assigned productions and to invite artists for inclusion in the programme.
- The decision of the management committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
No member of any performance (musicians and technicians included) may be involved in more than three (3) productions to facilitate scheduling.

A non-refundable administration fee of R200 (VAT included) will be charged.

“Vrynge is designed to create a platform for emerging artists, creative practitioners, community organisations and entrepreneurs locally, nationally and internationally,” Vrystaat Arts Festival said in a statement. “Vrynge aims to expose local and national audiences to emerging work.”
