Call for nominations: Ghana DJ Awards 2021

Submissions are currently ongoing for the 2021 Ghana DJ Awards, which are slated for 27 November in Accra.
The awards are organised by Merqury Republic and aim to honour the country’s most hardworking and dedicated DJs who promote Ghanaian culture through music. Works released between October 2020 and September 2021 are eligible for entry.
After receiving the entries, the Ghana DJ Awards board will oversee a review process, after which it will present a shortlist to the awards’ academy, which will determine the winners in various categories alongside public votes.
There will be no public voting for the Lifetime Achievement Award and Scratch DJ of the Year categories.
How to enter
Interested Ghanaian DJs or their representatives can submit an entry form along with a mixtape or two-minute video clips of their performance(s) here. Applicants must also include professional photographs of the DJ.
The applications can be emailed to ghanadjawards@gmail.com along with links to the mixtape or performance(s), or enclosed in an envelope addressed to:

The deadline for submissions is 31 September.
Note:
- Nomination forms should include the contact name and email or postal address of the person being nominated.
- The same submission cannot be sent for more than one category in the industry section.
- Shows or performances must fit into the traditional genre in the section chosen.
- Submitted mixtapes must include full artwork and a tracklist.
- Submissions are eligible to only one group of ‘artists’ or ‘entertainment company’.
- ‘Tribute’ or ‘best of’ mixtapes are not eligible for Mixtape of the Year.
- Applicants who fail to comply with the submission guidelines risk disqualification.
