Berlin-based music platform COLORSxSTUDIOS and NFT minting platform Zora have launched a new initiative that allows fans to collect episodes of COLORS shows.

Rema.

The innovation, christened ‘Colors Collect’, allows fans to acquire and curate their own shareable musical collection, opening themselves up to exclusive opportunities and supporting artists in the process.

The first video drop of the campaign, featuring a performance from Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema, is available here. For one week, fans will have the opportunity to collect Rema’s ‘Fame’. Rema first performed ‘Fame’ – an unreleased freestyle – back in 2020 and now has 27 million views on YouTube.

The weekly series will continue with a stacked first season of artists including fellow Nigerian singer Bryann, British-Nigerian singer and songwriter Bellah, American rapper Erick the Architect, Eritrean-born R&B-soul singer RIMON and Dominican singer and songwriter YEИDRY.

Zora claims to be leading the charge in connecting culture and creatives with the tools and tech they need to be fully on-chain and make money from their work. Zora’s mission involves bringing creativity on-chain, and most recently launched Zora Network, a new chain designed to minimise costs for creators and better support on-chain media and culture.

The COLORS music brand boasts a YouTube channel with more than 2.5 billion views. In June last year, COLORSxSTUDIOS partnered with Spotify to spotlight exciting new talent across the globe. The artists, selected from Spotify’s RADAR Africa playlist, are featured on the COLORSxSTUDIOS website, where fans can learn about their stories and the inspiration behind their music.
