Music distribution company Highvibes Distribution has announced its expansion into East Africa, appointing Brian Chege as the regional manager.
The move aims to empower artists by providing seamless access to global audiences through advanced music distribution, publishing, and licensing solutions.
Highvibes Distribution combines expertise in digital technology with insights to drive industry growth. By entering the East African market, the company seeks to create opportunities for artists to amplify their reach and maximise revenue.
Chege, a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in content acquisition, digital media, and business development within the digital service provider (DSP) market, will lead Highvibes Distribution’s regional operations. His extensive background and passion for music position him to spearhead strategic initiatives and cultivate key partnerships that will strengthen the company’s presence in the region.
“Expanding into East Africa is a testament to our commitment to unlocking the potential of every artist, no matter where they are,” Highvibes Distribution CEO Ogunade Gbolahan Mathias, said. “We are excited about the opportunities this brings to the vibrant and diverse music scene in East Africa.”
Highvibes Distribution’s entry into the region presents a valuable opportunity for local artists seeking a platform that supports their aspirations, from increasing visibility to enhancing revenue streams.
“We believe in empowering talent to achieve their dreams without barriers,” Highvibes Distribution president Wellbeck Tawiah, said. “With Brian leading the way, we are confident that East African artists will thrive under Highvibes.”
Founded in 2019, Highvibes Distribution was established to simplify music distribution, enabling artists to control their careers without the constraints of industry gatekeepers. Through direct partnerships with digital platforms, the company has democratised global distribution, serving over 20 000 artists, from emerging talents to established stars. With its East African expansion, Highvibes Distribution continues to level the playing field, ensuring that more artists, regardless of their career stage, can access the resources needed to succeed on a global scale.
