Malawi: Listen to Di Elite’s Wandikopa single

The single was written by Di Eliteand is available for streaming and download on Deezer, Spotify and iTunes. The song is accompanied by a video, which was directed by Ron CZ.   

‘Wandikopa’, group member Ishan Cyapital said, is a song that is aimed at “communicating our appreciation for the African woman.

“We needed a word that did not only cover her physical beauty but her intellect and strength too hence the title ‘Wandikopa’, which means to bring forth, pull or attract. We can appreciate women without objectifying them.”

De Elite was formed in 2016 and focuses on contemporary music fused with reggae, dancehall and unique Malawian sounds. The group collaborated with a Ghanaian producer Desert Eagle on a single called ‘Ineyo’. In 2016, they also worked with the Ghananian to complete a unique Afropop fusion of reggae and dancehall sounds.
