Nigerian Afrobeats artist Joeboy has released his highly anticipated third studio album, Viva Lavida, via his own imprint Young Legend in partnership with Warner Music Africa.
The album’s title, which translates to Live Life, reflects Joeboy’s philosophy of embracing freedom, self-awareness, and inner peace despite life’s unpredictability.
The project arrives alongside a visually striking music video for its lead track, ‘Free of Charge’, featuring legendary Nigerian rapper Olamidé. The video immerses viewers in a vibrant, multi-layered world, shifting between neon-lit cityscapes and sun-drenched deserts. Joeboy stuns in a crimson red suit, while Olamidé commands attention in an all-black ensemble, reinforcing the track’s theme of lavishing love and luxury on an ideal woman.
The 14-track LP also includes previously released singles such as the soulful ‘Taxi Driver’, the introspective ‘SMH’, the heartfelt ‘Adenuga’ featuring Qing Madi, and the globally acclaimed hit ‘Osadebe’, which has surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify.
“At the end of the day, life is unpredictable and bad times are inevitable, but the one thing you are in control of is how you react and live. I choose to live free,” Joe Boy said. “No matter how many times I get my heart broken, no matter whether I succeed or fail in life and love—Viva Lavida!”
The album release follows Joeboy’s 2025 world tour, which kicked off in Australia with a series of sold-out shows. The tour continues across Europe in April and May, with stops in Copenhagen, Rome, Milan, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and multiple UK cities including Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Leicester.
