Open call: 2025 Choreographic Duet Competition in Netherlands

Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC) is inviting choreographers from around the globe to submit their duets (7 to 12 mins) for the 7th edition of the duet competition, taking place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from 11 to 14 June.
The sixteen participants will present their duets live in the theatre to the audience in Rotterdam and through the livestream all over the world. The sixteen multi-style duets are presented during the preliminary rounds on 12 and 13 June. On 14 June, the event will close with a grand finale featuring the duets that have been selected by a jury. From this selection, the jury will choose the winner of the XL Production Award, while the RIDCC partners will choose the winners of the Partner Awards from all sixteen participants. There is also an Audience Award.
RIDCC is open to all dance styles and choreographers may submit a duet performance with a maximum of two performers on stage. The piece must not have premiered on stage before March 2021. Choreographers are free to choose the subject and music of their piece and they may perform in their own duet.
RIDCC will cover hotel accommodation (including breakfast) for choreographers and dancers. Rooms may be shared with other participants.
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed as follows within Europe: Up to €250 (about $260) per person. Travel expenses will be reimbursed as follows outside of Europe: Up to 300 EUR per person for distances under 5000 km and up to EUR 500 per person for distances over 5 000 km.
- For environmental reasons, RIDCC encourages participants to travel sustainably.
