Open call: Amanotes song contest for global indie artists

Submissions are ongoing for Amanotes’ song contest for global independent artists.
Amanotes claims to be the world’s leading publisher of music-based mobile games, and the contest forms part of its 10th anniversary.
The competition offers cash prizes and a chance to be featured in Amanotes’ popular game Magic Tiles 3, which boasts over 1.3 billion global downloads and over 1 million monthly active users.
The contest will also include tracks from international acts such as Coldplay, Blackpink and TheFatRat.
“We are very excited to kick off our anniversary celebrations with Amanotes’ first ever song contest,” Amanotes licensing manager Carter Pham said. “Music is at the heart of Amanotes’ success and the contest will support our goals of elevating local artists on a global stage, while strengthening our ties with the independent creator community.”
Eligibility
- The competition is open to independent artists worldwide.
- Tracks must be no longer than five minutes and all rights must be owned in full by the artist.
- Tracks from all genres are welcome, with a focus on pop, R&B, EDM, hip hop and rock.
How to Apply
- Tracks can be submitted online here.
Note: All applicants will be given a month-long Magic Tiles 3 VIP subscription, which grants access to all premium songs, while the top three will receive a year-long VIP subscription.
The deadline for submission is 30 August 2024.
Voting
- An online voting portal will open in September, allowing artists’ fanbases and the Amanotes community to vote for the winning track.
Prizes
- Winner: $1 000, featured track in Magic Tiles 3, promotion across Amanotes’ network, and collaboration opportunities.
- Runners-up: $500 each.
Additional Benefits
- Promotion across Amanotes’ social channels and landing pages, reaching over seven million daily users.
- Opportunity to collaborate with Amanotes on future licensing and strategy.
