Daniel’s Music Foundation (DMF) in the US is inviting disabled musicians around the world to submit entries for the 2024 edition of Danny Awards at Town Hall in New York on 19 October.
DMF empowers individuals of all abilities to grow as musicians, express themselves creatively and flourish as part of a community – all while challenging the world to think differently about disability. Founded in 2006, the event seeks to honour musicians with disabilities.
Interested artists are invited to submit their entries here before 6 August.
The top ten award recipients, chosen by a panel of judges, will receive a personalised Danny Award, an honorarium of $1 000 (solo artist), $2 000 (group/band), and the chance to meet music industry professionals and executives.
The prize package also includes a full weekend in New York, with winners being considered for a DMF record label deal called Just Call Me By My Name. Every year, ten exceptional musicians from around the globe perform at the Danny Awards to showcase their skills, passion, and creativity.
“Through 6 August, we are accepting video submissions for the fifth Danny Awards,” DMF official Jonah Bealy said. “Our global award show recognises musicians with disabilities and celebrates differences. Each year we work hard to create meaningful and unforgettable experiences for our winners.”
