South African producer, MÖRDA, has released his third studio album titled Asante III. The record is available for streaming and download across all major digital platforms.
The album’s focus track, ‘Glory’, is a collaboration with powerhouse vocalists Nomfundo Moh and Nontokozo Mkhize. A fusion of pulsing basslines, haunting melodies, and soaring harmonies, the song embodies the feeling of sunrise after a long night, both celebratory and prayerful.
“I want this music to bring peace and joy. I want people to dance, to feel free,” MÖRDA, a former Black Motion member, said. “This album is for the people. It’s for the streets. It’s for healing.”
Beyond the album release, MÖRDA is launching Vault by MÖRDA, a live event series designed to bring his vision from the streaming charts to real-world stages. “I want to give people a side of MÖRDA they’ve never seen before,” he said. “This is just the beginning. I knew their voices would bring something special to the sound. They added the emotion and power I needed to turn this beat into something divine.”
Asante III is rich with collaborations that amplify its deeper mission. From the introspective ‘Home’ featuring Brenden Praise and Artwork Sounds, to the militant drums of ‘The Massacre’ with Nqo, each track is a meditation on identity, spirituality, and joy. MÖRDA’s signature touch is evident throughout the project, which he produced from his own studio alongside a close-knit group of creatives, including Thakzin, Dr Moruti, and Suffocate SA.
