Bulawayo Arts Awards 2020: All the winners

The winners the 2020 Bulawayo Arts Awards in Zimbabwe were announced on 29 November.

Vuyo Brown won the Outstanding Female Artist Award.

Mai Mwamuka was honoured with the Outstanding Gospel Artist Award while Zhezhingtons was crowned the winner in the Outstanding Kwaito/House/Gqom Artist category. The Outstanding Alternative (Maskandi/Jazz) Music Artist and Outstanding Music Video awards went to Hwabaraty and Mzoe 7 respectively.

In honour of the late rapper Cal_Vin, who died in a hit-and-run accident in Bulawayo in late October, this year’s Outstanding Hip Hop Artist category was changed to Mgcini Cal_Vin Nhliziyo Outstanding Hip Hop Artist Award and was awarded to Asaph. The Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Male Artist awards went to Vuyo Brown and Msiz’kay respectively.

Ngoma Ingoma won the Song of the Year Award for their song ‘Amalobolo’.
