Ghana: Voting opens for 2019 Ashaiman Music Awards

Ghanaians can now vote for their favourite musicians, videos and media personalities ahead of the second edition of the Ashaiman Music Awards. The awards’ dates and venue will be announced in due course. 

This year, the awards will run under the theme Objecting Creativity Through Arts. According to the organisers, the awards seek to support and promote the works of established and emerging artist from Ashaiman in the south of Ghana, as well as promote the image of the town.

Voting has begun and members of the public have until 28 August to select their favourites in the 17 categories. Public voting constitutes 70% of all votes cast, while 30% will come from members of the board.
