MUSIGA names anti-corruption champion

The Musicians Union of Ghana have named a champion for its campaign against corruption.

MUSIGA has named an anti-corruption champion for April 2019.

The champion for April is Ace Ankomah, a managing partner for Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah.

The selection forms part of the Union’s anti-corruption campaign dubbed “The Role of Music in the Implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan (NACAP)”.

The presentation was done by former MUSIGA President, Diana Hopeson, accompanied by President Bice Osei Kuffour, Smart Nkansah, chairman of the MUSIGA National Election Committee; 1st Vice President, Bessa Simons and Director of Communications and Special Projects, Ahuma Bosco Ocansey.

Receiving the award, Mr. Ankomah expressed his excitement at the gesture and thanked the Union for the honour done him.

He said, “The fight against anti-corruption is an ongoing campaign and we need all hands on board.”

“This initiative by MUSIGA is a welcome one and should contribute to winning the fight against corruption,” Ace Ankomah added.

MUSIGA’s anti-corruption action plan involves the release of an All Star anti-corruption song and video, a drama video, anti-corruption walks and stakeholders’ forum.

The MUSIGA Anti-Corruption campaign is supported by STAR-Ghana Foundation.
