Shoko Festival has opened applications for artists to perform at its 2026 edition, scheduled to take place from 24 to 26 September.

The deadline for applications is 30 May.

  • Original material and creative performance concepts
  • Ability to perform on professional stages

Special Opportunity

  • Artists selected for Mash Up Night will:
    • Perform at Shoko Festival 2026
    • Be featured on the Mashoko Tapes album

Application requirements

  • Applicants should submit links to live performance footage (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, Google Drive)
  • Studio recordings alone are not sufficient
  • Live performance videos are strongly recommended

  • Only successful applicants will be contacted

    • Accuracy of provided information
    • Availability to perform during the festival dates if selected

Shoko Festival is an international urban culture festival organised by Magamba, a Zimbabwe-based cultural organisation. The festival focuses on music, comedy, poetry, dance, visual art and new media. Past editions have included live performances, creative installations, comedy showcases and daytime programming alongside evening events.
