South African singer and songwriter Nomfundo Moh has released Amagama Deluxe.
The offering follows her 13-track debut album Amagama, which was released in January featuring collaborators Ami Faku, Sha Sha, De Mthuda, Lady K and Naxion Cross.
Amagama Deluxe is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms and adds guest features from Kwesta, Shekhinah and Sjava.
“I make music for people who are going through tough times and the least I can do is to be there for them musically, and soulfully. Amagama Deluxe is exactly that,” Nomfundo Moh said.
Nomfundo Moh, who won the Best Afropop Album Award at the recently concluded South African Music Awards (SAMAs), says the project was inspired by the love and support she received for Amagama .
“People have been streaming and purchasing the album and I promised them that if we reached a certain milestone I would definitely release Amagama Deluxe. So I did as promised.”
She also spoke about her triumph at the SAMAs: “I am super, super excited about my recent SAMA win, that’s a big deal. I specialise in Afropop, I might try other genres for versatility purposes, but Afropop is home and for me to be recognised at home is indeed a huge deal.”
