Zim: NAMAs 2020 announce winners

The winners of the 2020 National Arts Merit Awards (NAMAs) were announced at the Harare International Conference Centre on 29 February.

Tamy Moyo won the Outstanding Female Musician Award.

Ishan took home two awards in the Outstanding Newcomer and Outstanding Song categories. The Outstanding Female Musician Award went to Tamy Moyo while Willis Wataffi and Flying Bantu won the Outstanding Album and Outstanding Music Video awards respectively. Rapper

Ti Gonzi triumphed in the Outstanding Male Musician category against dancehall chanter Winky D and Mambo Dhuterere. 

Veteran singer Stella Chiweshe was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award while Winky D won the People’s Choice Award. Other winners in different categories include writer Petina Gappah, dancer Selemani Mpochi and comedian Long John.
